Once bitten twice shy? Sure, but... why not get a bigger dog and bite them back? This quote can be interpreted in many ways. The statement itself is not very clear, but the idea that biting them back somehow makes it okay to be bitten in the first place may mean there is some moral ambiguity at play. If getting a bigger dog means you’re going to be bitten again, wouldn’t it make sense to wait until the dog is smaller before you bite it?
